Understanding sessions (end of day report)

What is a session?

A session corresponds to a period of activity on a device.

It includes all sales, payments, and cash movements recorded between its opening and closing.

Session characteristics

  • A session is linked to a single device
  • When the session is closed, a summary receipt (end of day report) is generated and can be shared with your accountant
  • Multiple users can sell within the same session

Automatic session

  • A session lasts 24 hours
  • It opens and closes automatically at the time defined in the settings

Manual session

  • Sessions can be opened and closed at any time
  • There is no minimum duration
  • Multiple sessions can be created within the same day

X report (current session)

The X report allows you to view a summary of sales during an ongoing session without closing it.

The X report can be filtered by user to help manage your cash register or analyze sales for one or multiple users.

Export sessions (end of day report)
