How to create an open ticket?

The “Open tickets” feature lets you save a ticket without completing the payment. This is useful when a customer will pay later, when managing tables, or handling phone/online orders.

You can create and manage multiple open tickets at the same time. Each saved ticket appears in the Open tickets tab, allowing you to switch between different customers and finalize each one separately when they are ready to pay.

Step 1: Activate the “Open tickets” feature

To enable this feature:

  1. Open the Settings tab.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Activate the Open tickets toggle.

If you are using multiple devices, make sure to activate this option on each device individually.

Step 2: Add items to the cart

Once the feature is enabled, go to the sales screen and:

  1. Select the items your customer wants to order.
  2. Open the cart details by tapping the cart icon or swiping up.
  3. Tap the Save button to save the ticket as an open ticket.

The cart will then be emptied, and the saved ticket will appear in the Open tickets tab.

🖨️ If a kitchen printer is configured, the kitchen order ticket will be printed automatically when you save the ticket.

Step 3: Finalize the payment

When your customer is ready to pay:

  1. Go to the Open tickets tab.
  2. Select the ticket to reopen it — the list of items will be restored to your cart.
  3. Proceed to checkout by selecting the payment method and confirming the payment.

That’s it! You’ve completed the sale using the Open Tickets feature.

Partial payments and remaining balance

You can enter an amount lower than the total during checkout to make a partial payment. The remaining balance will be displayed automatically.

However, it is not possible to save a remaining balance for later once you start the checkout process. When finalizing a payment, the ticket must be fully settled. If you need to keep a ticket open for later payment, use the Open tickets feature before proceeding to checkout.
